Top cowling lock lever(s) (turn type)

To remove the engine top cowling, turn the
lock lever(s) and lift off the cowling. When in-
stalling the cowling, check to be sure it fits
properly in the rubber seal. Then lock the
cowling again by returning the lever(s) to the
lock position.

Carrying handle

A carrying handle is included on the clamp
bracket. After setting the handle up, it enables
you to carry the outboard motor easily with
one hand.
To set up the carrying handle, proceed as fol-
lows:
1.
Place the tilt lock lever in the lock posi-
tion.
2.
Securely hook the arm on the carrying
handle end to the clamp bracket bar.

NOTICE
Place the tilt lock lever in the lock position
while using the carrying handle. Other-
wise, the lower unit could fall to the
ground while carrying the motor.

2-pin connector

AC 12 V-40/60/80W power is delivered
through this connector. When using it, keep in
mind the following points:
Use a genuine Yamaha connector.

Use lighting equipment only.
G
Connect lighting equipment directly to the

2-pin connector.
Capacity of the lighting equipment must be
G
more than 12 V-40/60/80W; otherwise the
bulb could burn out.
When the connector is not in use, place the
G
cap on it.

NOTICE
Do not connect the 2-pin connector direct-
ly to the battery terminals. Otherwise the
electric system will be damaged.
