4. Troubleshooting

E
Before requesting repair staff, please check the following points.
Problem
Unit does not operate.
Unit does not start immediately.
4
Unit stops soon after starting.
Unit discharges air satisfactorily, but fails
to cool the room well.
* Once the unit stops due to a power failure, it will not re-start automatically even if the power is restored. To re-start the unit, press the
controller.
If the problem is still present even after the above points have been checked, turn the main switch off and contact the dealer from whom the unit was purchased. Give them the
model name and the nature of the problem. Never try to fix the unit yourself.
The following are not indicative of a malfunction:
Odors:
• Smells, such as tobacco, cosmetics, walls and furniture, contained in the room air have been collected on the air conditioner unit and are discharged.
Sound:
• A swishing sound is sometimes heard during or after operation. This sound is caused by liquid flowing inside the unit.
• A hissing sound is sometimes heard when cooling mode is started and stopped. This sound is caused by shrinking or expansion of the panel due to temperature change.
NOTE: The refrigerant charged in the air conditioner is safe. Refrigerant normally does not leak, however, if refrigerant gas leaks indoors, and comes into contact
with the fire of a fan heater, space heater, stove, etc., harmful substances will be generated.
Be sure to ask the service representative whether there is refrigerant leakage or not when repairs are carried out.
