Mode Preparations for adjustment
(measurement points, subject, other)
(1) Insert a standard xD-
Picture card.
(2) Play back a completely
black image.
(3) Play back a completely
white (75%) image.
(4) Change the setting with
the EVF/LCD button.
(1) Connect the power
supply jig to the DC IN
terminal.
(xD card loaded, no
Microdrive)
(2) Set the power supply
voltage.
(3) Set the Mode dial to
AUTO and turn the
camera on in Camera
mode with the LCD on.
(4) Check that the pop-up
flash opens and closes
and check the backup.
(5) Set the pre-end voltage.
(6) Set the end voltage.
5. Inspection
Method of adjustment
(VRs, waveforms, required values)
(2) Check that there are no
noticeable dust flecks or
stains (bright spots) on
the screen.
(3) Check that there are no
noticeable dust flecks or
stains (smears, flashing
points, etc.) on the
screen.
(4) Play the above 2 frames
and perform the same
checks.
(1) Connect after the battery
or battery jig has been
removed.
(2) 5.0 V ± 0.1 V
(3) Check that the camera
starts up normally.
(4) Press the flash pop-up
button to pop up the flash
unit.
Check that the flash red-
eye reduction icon
appears. After completing
the check, use the "Flash
button + Command dial"
combination to return the
camera to Flash AUTO
mode.
(5) 4.50 V ± 0.03 V Check
that the battery low
warning appears.
(6) 4.00 V ± 0.03 V Check
that the camera turns off.
