Status indicators

This topic provides information about locating and identifying the various status indicators on your computer.
Note: Your computer might look different from the following illustrations.
1 Device-access-status indicator
When this indicator is blinking, the storage device of your computer is reading or writing data. During this
period, do not put the computer into sleep mode, remove the storage device, or turn off the computer.
2 Camera-status indicator
When this indicator is on, the camera is in use.
3 10 System-status indicators
The indicator in the ThinkPad logo on the computer lid and the indicator in the power button center show the
system status of your computer.
• Blinks for three times: The computer is initially connected to the power.
• On: The computer is on (in normal mode).
