SRS side and curtain shield
airbags with roll sensing func-
tion
The SRS (Supplemental Restraint Sys-
tem) side and curtain shield airbags are
designed to provide further protection
for the driver, front and second seat
passengers in addition to the primary
safety protection provided by the seat
belts.

In response to a severe side impact, the
SRS side and curtain shield airbags on
impacted side inflate. The SRS side airbag
works together with the seat belts to help
to reduce injuries mainly to the driver's or
front passenger's chest and the SRS cur-
tain shield airbag works together with seat
belts to help to reduce injuries mainly to
the driver's, front passenger's head and
can help the driver, front passenger and
second seat passengers to retain inside
the vehicle.
Roll sensing function:
In response to a vehicle rollover, the cur-
tain shield airbags on both sides inflate.
The curtain shield airbags work together
with the seat belts to help to reduce inju-
ries mainly to the driver's head, front pas-
senger's head and second seat passen-
ger's heads and can help the driver, front
passenger and second seat passengers to
retain inside the vehicle.
The SRS side and curtain shield airbags
on the passenger side are activated even
with no passenger in the front seat.
Be sure to wear your seat belt properly.

CAUTION
The SRS side and curtain shield air-
bags inflate with considerable force.
To avoid potential death or serious
injury when they inflate, the driver,
front passenger and second seat pas-
sengers must:

Wear their seat belts properly.

Remain properly seated with their
back upright and against the seat at
all times.

Improper sitting and wearing of the
seat belts may not retain you inside
the vehicle.
