You cannot use Surround Enhancer, Center Focus, Super
Surround, Subwoofer level and Super Woofer if you have
connected headphones ("ERROR" appears on the display).
You may experience a reduction in sound quality when these
sound field systems are used with some sources. If this occurs,
turn the sound field system off.
Press [SOUND] to select a setting.

Every time you press the button:
HEAVY CLEAR
MANUAL EQ
HEAVY : Adds punch to rock. (factory preset)
CLEAR : Clarifies higher sounds.
SOFT : For background music.
DISCO : Reverberates sound to make you feel like you are
in a disco.
LIVE : Makes vocals more alive.
HALL : Expands sound to make you feel like you are in a
hall.
EQ-OFF : Canceled (no effect is added).
MANUAL : Create your own sound quality effects.
EQ Press [w] or [q] to select the sound range.

Press [e] or [r] to adjust the level. (-3 to +3)

• The changes you make are stored and
automatically recalled the next time you select
"MANUAL EQ".
• You cannot select "MANUAL EQ" using main
unit.
• To check the current setting

The "SRD ENH" indicator lights.
Every time you press the button:
SRD ENHANCER ON
Use with discs where the dialogue is recorded in the center
channel.
You can make the sound of the center speaker seem like it is
coming from within the television.
Press [C.FOCUS]
The "C.F" indicator lights.
Every time you press the button:
C FOCUS ON
• This works only during 5.1 channel or when Dolby Pro Logic
II is turned on.
• This does not work when Super Surround is turned on.
Dolby Pro Logic II is an advanced decoder that derives
5-channel surround (Left and Right Front, Center, Left and
Right Surround) from any stereo program material, whether or
not it has been specifically Dolby Surround encoded.
Press [%PLII]
Every time you press the button:
Movie: Movie software, recorded in Dolby Surround.
Music: Stereo sources
Off: Cancel (factory preset)

• This works only in DVD/CD mode.
• "%PLII" lights when there is effect.
