Operating Modes
The reader can operate in one of several scanning modes:
Scanning is activated when the button is pushed or through an
On Line —
external trigger (GFS4150-9 only).
Scanning is continually on.
Automatic —
Scanning is turned on automatically when an
Automatic (Object Sense) —
item is placed in reader's field of view.
For any selectable scanning mode, performance
Strobe Exposure Mode —
on moving bar codes can be improved by flashing the scanner's lighting
(strobe mode). The scanner strobes at a very high frequency, so the change
in lighting may not be apparent. When enabled, the scanner can read
codes moving at up to 1m/sec, depending on the bar size and direction the
code is moving.
