ThePSAsoundsoccasionally repeat
themselves.
OnceinPSA,theenginedoesn'tgointo
reverse.
When thePSAentersitslastsequencethe
bellautomaticallycomes on.
When PSA is enabled,pressing theHorn and
bell buttonshas no effect.
I pushthe Directionbutton butthenext
sound clipinthesequencedoesnotplayor
the enginedoes notcomeoutofPSAafter
the fourthpress of theDirection button.

Remedy
Proto-Sound2.0volume is set toohigh. Turn the
volumecontrol knobonthebottomofthechassis
counter-clockwise toreduce thevolume.
Volume is set toolow,adjustvolumecontrolknob
on thebottomofthechassisclockwisetoincrease
the volume or check connector to speaker.
Remedy
Check to be sure thebattery is installed and fully
charged. Seethe"Self-Charging BatteryBack-
Up"section.
Thebattery maybedeadorneedtobecharged.

Proto-Sound2.0isdesignedtocontinuetosound
forafewsecondsafterpowertothetrackhas
been shut off toallowforamorerealisticshut-
down.
Remedy
Proto-Sound2.0hasabuilt-inrandomnumber
generator thatrandomlyselectseachsoundclipto
play. Because therearealimitednumberof
sound clips available ineachPSAsequence,itis
probablethat some of thesesoundclipswillbe
repeated fromtimetotime.
So that PSA effects canbeasrealisticaspossible,
Proto-Sound2.0disablesthe reversingunit
whenever PSA is enabled. This way theengine
remains still atitsstopastheoperatorcycles
throughthe PSAsequences.
PSAisprogrammedtostartringingthebelland
then to puttheengineinmotionatthatpoint.
Afterapproximately 15 rings of the bell,itwill
automatically turn off.
Because PSA must controlvarious effects ineach
sequence,Proto-Sound 2.0 takescontrol of these
sound effectsuntil youexitPSA.
EachPSAclipmustplayforacertainamountof
time before PSAwilladvancetothenextstepin
the PSAcycle. Wait atleast30secondsineach
PSAsound clip before pressingthe Direction
button.
