BASIC OPERATION

■ AAR Channel Entry

Depending on the pre-setting, the transceiver has the
capability to directly input the AAR (Association of American
Railroads) channel, using the keypad.
When the AAR channel is input, TX/RX frequencies and
Wide/Narrow settings are changed according to the "AAR
Railroad Industry 160 MHz Channel Plan."
q Push a desired channel number using the keypad, then
push [#] to set the AAR channel.
• If a 6-digit number is entered, the AAR channel is automatically
set without pushing [#].
w To return to the normal channel display, rotate [ROTARY
SELECTOR].
[Example]
➥ Push [1], [2], then [#] to set the operating channel as TX
Channel: 12 (Wide), RX Channel: 12 (Wide).
