Once the power-up sequence is completed with a valid SIM card installed,
the following screen will appear:
Left Soft Key
To navigate within this screen to access different features and settings, you
will need to press the left soft key to access the Menu. By accessing the
Menu screen you will be able to navigate within Phone Menu following
instructions outlined in Section 3 or switch to PTT Mode following the
instructions outlined in Section 4. Help may be accessed from the main
screen by pressing the right soft key.
Directive
After selecting "Do not use" for the set-up of GEOS
service, acknowledging this setting by selecting
"OK", and then entering your SOS call recipient,
you will then be prompted to enter your SOS
message recipient. To program the SOS message
recipient, you must select "Edit" and then select
"Options" and then "Edit" to either enter a number
or email for your SOS message recipient. You must
enter a valid number in the correct international
format or email in the correct format and then
select "OK" to save this entry as your SOS message
recipient. Once programmed, you can initiate
an SOS by pressing the SOS button and your
SOS message recipient will receive a text-based
emergency notification with your location on 5
minute interval until your SOS is cancelled. You are
responsible for the accuracy of these entries and
the responsiveness of any emergency contacts that
you designate and program in your phone.
