scanning rotation. The amount of time each active talkgroup is sampled is
determined by the Scan Period setting within the Menu. Available scan
duration times are 5 (factory default), 10 and 15 seconds.
If no talkgroups are active when the device is in Scan State, SCANNING is
displayed on the screen along with the message "Waiting for Activity. "
When talkgroups are active and are being scanned, SCANNING is
displayed. The second line displays the Device Name. The third line
indicates the distance and direction to the talker. And the fourth line
displays the talkgroup name being sampled.
To navigate from this screen:
• Press the left soft key, labeled Join, to navigate to the Home State and
begin monitoring the talkgroup that was being scanned at that time
• Press the right soft key, labeled Stop Scan, to leave Scan State
• Push the PTT Button to navigate to the Home State and begin
monitoring the talkgroup being sampled at the time
Note: You may only enter Scan State by selecting Scan from the IDLE
Status.
