HEPA Filter
Fig.16 The HEPA filter is also housed in the
dust bag compartment above and
behind the motor protection filter as
shown in fig.16. Remove dirty filter
assembly from machine and dispose
of filter medium. Replace with new
filter medium. Return filter assembly to
your VS-022.
We recommend replacing the air outlet filters
every 4-6 months; after the bag has been
emptied 5 times; when appearance is soiled;
or a loss of suction is experienced (whichever
is sooner).
ATTENTION: Do not use the vacuum cleaner
without all filters installed.
Dust Bag Indicator
17
Fig.17 When the indicator turns red or
when the suction power reduces
substantially, you should empty or
replace the dust bag.

18
Fig.18 When the bag is not full the indicator
will show blue.
ATTENTION: If after emptying the dust bag,
the indicator stays red, this could be for
several reasons:
• Suction passages may be blocked -
check flexible hose and extension tubes,
suction inlet, floor brushes and nozzles for
obstruction.
• Check motor protection filter
• Check to see if air outlet filter is dirty
Check carefully for the cause and correct
so that the vacuum cleaner can function
normally.
Do not operate the vacuum cleaner with
the indicator on red, as this could cause
irreparable motor damage.
