These are additional tools and features of the device.
Ping Test
This diagnostic utility can be used to check if a computer is on the Internet. It sends ping packets and listens to
the replies from the specific host. Enter in a host name or the IP address that you want to ping (Packet Internet
Groper) and click Ping.
Example: telus.net or 198.161.157.214
Restart Device
If the device is not responding correctly, you may want to restart the unit by clicking on the Restart button.
UPnP
UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) is a feature that facilitates networking for a variety of devices and systems. This
feature is enabled by default. It will only work with other UPnP systems or software. You can disable the UPnP
option by selecting disabled and clicking the Apply button.
VPN Pass-Through
The device supports VPN (Virtual Private Network) pass-through for both PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunneling
Protocol) and IPSec (IP Security). Once VPN pass-through is enabled, there is no need to enable the virtual
services. Multiple VPN connections can be made through the device. This is useful when you have many VPN
clients on the local area network.
