Boxed Intel Pentium 4 Processor Installation Notes
Before installing the processor, please consider integration issues found in the installation
notes available on the World Wide Web at http://support.intel.com/support/processors

Note: Make sure your chassis supports the Intel Pentium 4 processor. Insert four
standoffs (A) into the four holes below the processor socket. Install the motherboard into
the chassis following the motherboard manufacturer's installation instructions. Using the
screws provided by the chassis manufacturer, secure the retention mechanisms (B) into the
four standoffs (A) below the processor.

Open the socket handle (C). Install the processor and close the socket handle (C). Apply
all of the thermal interface material to the top of the processor (D).
