5.5.2 Keys

Joystick: Equivalent to the Change key.

Close: Hide the application (See 2.5)

Change: Opens a list of possible statuses. Highlight your preferred
status and press the joystick key or OK.

5.6 Chat Screen

5.6.1 About This Screen

Purpose: Chat with another user (See 4.2).
Smart IM manages multiple Chat screens simultaneously, one for each chat-
peer.
A Chat screen with a specific user is reachable by highlighting the user name
in the Contacts tab (See 5.3) or the Active Chats tab (See 5.4) and pressing
the joystick.

5.6.2 Data Fields

•
Messages Area: Displays all the messages exchanged so far.
•
Input Line: Type here new messages to your chat-peer.

5.6.3 Keys and Menus

•
Joystick: Equivalent to selecting Send in the Options menu.
•
Close: Hide the Chat screen and go back to the Main Screen
•

Add to contacts: Appears only if the chat-peer is not in your
