In the HP Array Configuration Utility (ACU), logical disks are labeled 1 and 2. In Disk Manager,
logical disks are displayed as 0 and 1. The ACU user guide is available for download at

NOTE:
The DON'T ERASE logical disk supports the recovery process only and does not host the secondary
operating system. If you need to perform a system recovery for your server, see the instructions inside the
HP ProLiant Storage Server System Installation and Recovery DVD. Be sure to back up your user data,
and then use the DVD to restore the server to the factory default state.
Data volumes are not carved at the factory or by the System Installation and Recovery DVD, and must be
configured manually by the end user.

system hangs during boot, refer to

External storage drives
The MSA20 storage enclosure for the DL380 G5 2 TB Storage Server is configured for hardware RAID
fault tolerance using the HP Smart Array 6402 RAID Controller. The SATA HDDs are hot-pluggable and
hot-swappable.
