    Chapter 4 4.1 Installing the TV Tuner Card Driver Follow the steps below to install the driver for the TV Tuner Card. Turn on the computer. Insert the provided CD into the CD-ROM drive. The autorun program will start the setup program. Click Install Theater 550 Pro Driver.

    Chapter 4 4.3 PowerCinema Settings PowerCinema is an integrated player for music, pictures, movie discs, TV, radio, and videos. To watch or listen, click a content button (Music, Videos, etc.) on the Home page. Note that while watching videos, DVDs, or slideshows, your screensaver and the monitor-off power-saving function will not be available.

    Software Installation Click the About PowerCinema button to open a page with version and copyright information. Click the Restore default settings button to return your settings to their default values. The first time you open PowerCinema, the Setup Wizard opens, prompting you to configure your system settings, to search for music files, and to scan for available TV channels.

    Chapter 4 DVD/VCD Settings To change DVD/VCD settings, click the DVD/VCD button on the Settings page. There are three types of DVD settings: Video, Audio, and Language. Click the appropriate button to enter the setting page. Video Video settings control the video output of DVDs/VCDs/SVCDs.
  • Page 35 Software Installation Audio Audio settings control the audio output of DVDs/VCDs/SVCDs. Audio output should be set to match the number of speakers you have, or set to Headphones. Audio profile determines the special processing used on the signal. The choices available will vary with the machine configuration, but may include Dolby Surround, CLMEI Surround, Stereo, DirectSound3D, and Dolby Headphone, TruSurroundXT Headphone, CLHP (CyberLink Headphone).

    Chapter 4 Language The Language settings control the audio and visual language output of DVDs/ VCDs/SVCDs. Subtitles selects the default subtitle language for DVDs/ VCDs/SVCDs, when available. The Title default option uses the original language of the disc you are watching. The factory setting is Off.

    Chapter 4 Radio Settings To change radio settings, click the Radio button on the Settings page. To scan for available radio stations, click Scan stations. Your computer will scan and list the available radio stations. When the scanning is complete, you return to the Radio Settings page.

    Software Installation 4.4 Using PowerCinema and MakeDVD Moives Function If your computer came with a DVD drive, you can play movies from DVDs and Video CDs (VCDs or SVCDs) with the Movies function in PowerCinema. This player has the features and controls of a normal living-room DVD player.

  • Page 41 Software Installation The Recorded TV option allows you to view files that you have recorded from the TV. The Schedule option allows you to set TV recording schedules for later viewing. The Settings button opens a page containing TV settings. The TV preview option allows you to preview available TV channels.

    Chapter 4 Instant Replay By default, the instant replay function is enabled inPowerCinema. To create an instant replay, PowerCinema records broadcast and the TV content that you watch. (The instant replay file cannot be saved, however, and you cannot watch this file in the Recorded TV window.) You can navigate forward andbackward within the file to create an instant replay or to skip over commercials.

    Software Installation Pictures Function PowerCinema lets you view digital pictures, either individually or as a slideshow, from any available drive on your computer. Click the Pictures button on the Home page to show the Pictures main page. Click on a folder to open it, or click on a picture to view it at full screen.

In just a few easy steps, you can add content, design a disc menu, and burn your disc. The first time you run MakeDVD, the First-Time Setup wizard opens, allowing you to register your copy of MakeDVD.
