Section 3 - Configuration
The Users and Groups menu is used to create user accounts and groups. Users and groups can be used for managing
the read/write privileges for specified folders on the network drive (see the "Network Access" section on page 47 for
more information) or for setting up FTP access rights. The DNS-313 allows up to 64 unique users and 10 groups to be
created. By default, all users have read and write access to all folders until access rules are created in the Network
Access menu.
The User and Groups window is divided into four main
sections:
User and Group
This section is used to create a new user or group.
Creation
See the "User and Group Creation" section on
page 43 for more information on how to create

users and groups.

Group Settings
This section is used to configure the group
settings. See the "Group Settings" section on
page 44 for more information on how to configure
group settings.
User List
This section is used to display the list of users
that have been setup on the DNS-313. See the
"User List" section on page 45 for more information
on how to use the User List section.
Groups List
This section is used to display the list of groups
that have been setup on the DNS-313. See
the "Groups List" section on page 46 for more
information on how to use the Groups List section.
