3. To replace a filter bag, gently pull the self-closing
tab on the bag, this will close the bag's opening
preventing any dust from escaping. Then slide the
bag out of the bag support frame and dispose
(Figure 3).

ATTENTION: Never operate machine without a
filter bag in place, vacuum motor damage will
result.

INSTALLING / REPLACING THE HEPA FILTER

The machine is equipped with a factory installed HEPA
filter (High Efficiency Particulate Air). The HEPA filter
achieves a total filtration of 99.99954% @ 0.3 microns.
1. To access the HEPA filter, unlatch the filter bag
cover and remove the filter bag. The HEPA filter
sits on top of the the vacuum motor intake.
(Figure 4).

2. To install the HEPA filter, center the filter over the
vacuum motor intake and firmly press it down until
secure.
3. To remove the HEPA filter, place fingers under lip
of filter and pull upward using a rocking motion.

INSTALLING / REPLACING THE EXHAUST AIR
FILTERS
The machine is equipped with dual exhaust filters. The
exhaust filter cartridges are factory installed. The
filters are designed primarily to capture the carbon
dust created by the vacuum motor's brushes.
1. To install the exhaust filter cartridge, slide the
cartridge into the slots located along each side of
the exhaust vent (Figure 5).

2. To check the condition of the exhaust filter or to
change the filter, grasp the filter cartridge handle
and pull it directly outward. Change the exhaust
filters every 6 months.
3. To replace an exhaust filter, hinge open the
cartridge and place the filter into the cartridge as
shown (Figure 6).
