Connecting the rear view video camera to the power supply

Note
Pull the socket connectors of the camera cable through the cable sleeve
before inserting the sleeve in the body work.
Lay out the camera cable in the interior of the vehicle so that it cannot be damaged
under any circumstances (e. g. by gravel impact).
Lay the camera cable so that you can easily access the plug connection between the
camera and the connection box should you need to remove the camera.
This greatly facilitates the disassembly.

Connecting the camera
Make sure the plug connections are put together in such a way that the arrows
on the plug and the socket are pointing at each other (d A, page 8).
Insert the plug of the camera cable (e 2, page 8) as far as it will go into the 6-pin
socket (e 3, page 8) of the connection cable.
Ensure that the plastic cap of the socket reaches up to the arrow on the plug.
Connect the 6-pin plug (e 4, page 8) of the cable to the monitor.

Checking the function and setting the camera

Check the function of the camera after you have connected it to a monitor.
Use the monitor picture to align the camera if necessary so that the picture on the
monitor is horizontal.
Tighten the four fastening screws in the housing holder.
Settings for contrast and brightness can be made on the monitor.
