SELECTING A CONVENTIONAL
ZONE AND CHANNEL
Up to 160 conventional channels, in one or
more conventional zones, can be programmed
into your radio.
To select a conventional zone and channel
Note: The selection of zones can be programmed
1 Use the Zone/Channel Selector knob to
select the appropriate conventional zone.

SENDING A CONVENTIONAL CALL

Note: In the United States, FCC regulations
require you to monitor the conventional
channels before sending a call. The
monitor feature (see page 13) can be
accessed through one of your
programmable buttons.
To send a conventional call
1 Turn your radio on.
2 Select the desired channel (see "Selecting a
Conventional Zone and Channel").
