2. Check e ngine o il l evel. Y our u nit p ossesses a L ow O il A larm S ystem t hat w ill n ot
allow y our e ngine t o s tart i f t he o il i s b elow s afe o perating l evels. T his f eature i s
installed t o i ncrease t he l ife o f y our e ngine a nd p revent e ngine d amage. I f o il
level i s l ow, f ill t o t he f ull m ark o n d ipstick. R efer t o t he P roduct S pecifications
for e xact o il t ype a nd a mounts.
3. Check t he f uel l evel t o i nsure a dequate f uel. A dd f uel i f n ecessary.
4. Remove a nd i nspect t he s park p lug f or c leanliness a nd p roper e lectrode g ap. I f
needed, c lean o r r eplace t he s park p lug. R efer t o S park P lug M aintenance i n t he
Maintenance s ection o f t he O wner's M anual f or p roper p rocedure.
5. If y our u nit w ill s till N OT s tart a fter p erforming t he a bove c hecks, c all o ur

to t he b ottom o f y our o il p an. L ocate t he t wo ( 2) w ires t o t he L ow O il
Sensor D iode ( refer t o f igure o n t he r ight) l ocated o n t he s ide o f t he e ngine
block. U nplug t hese w ires a nd, o nly a fter e nsuring t he e ngine i s f ull o f o il,
start t he e ngine a nd a llow t o r un u ntil w arm ( normally 2 0 m inutes, a s t his
will h eat t he o il a nd r elease t he f loat o n t he L ow O il A lert S ystem). T hen r e-­‐
plug t he w ires t o t he t erminals o n t he L ow O il A larm S ending U nit.
UNIT D OES N OT P ROVIDE E LECTRICAL C URRENT:
1. Plug i n a s mall a ppliance o r t ool t o t est.
2. Check i f t he A C ( or D C) C ircuit B reaker i s i n t he " ON" p osition. I f n ot, p lace i n
"ON" p osition. I f e quipped w ith a G FCI r eceptacle, r e-­‐set G FCI B reaker b y
pushing i n t he r eset b utton i n t he m iddle o f t he G FCI's f aceplate ( this m ust b e
done w ith t he e ngine r unning).
