• Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanleitung vor dem ersten Einsatz
Ihres Gerätes sorgfältig durch.
• Eine unsachgemässe Handhabung entbindet KRUPS von
jeglicher Haftung
• Lassen Sie Kinder niemals unbeaufsichtigt das Gerät
bedienen. Die Benutzung dieses Gerätes durch kleine
Kinder darf niemals ohne Aufsicht erfolgen.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Netzspannung mit der Ihres
Stromnetzes übereinstimmt.
• Schliessen Sie das Gerät nur an eine geerdete
Schutzkontakt-Steckdose an.
• Ihr Gerät ist ausschliesslich für den Haushaltsgebrauch - bei
kommerziellem Gebrauch, unsachgemässer Handhabung
oder Handhabungen die nicht den Weisungen entsprechen
übernimmt der Hersteller keine Haftung und die Garantie
erlischt.
• Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nach der Benutzung und vor
jeder Reinigung des Gerätes.
• Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn es nicht einwandfrei
arbeitet oder sichtbare Schäden aufweist. In diesem Fall
wenden Sie sich an den KRUPS-Kundendienst (siehe Liste
im Serviceheft). Das Gerät darf von Ihnen unter keinen
Umständen geöffnet werden.
• Tauchen Sie das Gerät niemals in Wasser oder andere
Flüssigkeiten.
• Halten Sie Kinder vom Gerät fern und lassen Sie das
Netzkabel nicht herunterhängen.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät nicht auf heisse Flächen (z.B.
Herdplatte) oder in der Nähe von offenen Flammen ab.
• Vermeiden Sie einen Kontakt des Netzkabels oder Ihrer
Hände mit den heissen Teilen des Gerätes (Filterträger,
Dampfdüse, Brühkopf).
• Zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit sollten Sie nur original Krups
Zubehör- und Ersatzteile passend zu Ihrem Gerät verwenden.
• Entfernen Sie den mit Kaffeemehl gefüllten Filterträger
nicht während des Durchlaufes, da das Gerät unter Druck
steht.
• Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Abstellgitter und
Auffangschale nicht in Position sind.
• Ziehen Sie den Stecker nicht durch Ziehen am Netzkabel
und legen Sie dieses nicht über scharfe Kanten oder über
Ecken.
• Das Netzkabel darf nicht in die Nähe oder in Kontakt mit den
heißen Teilen des Gerätes, einer Hitzequelle oder eines
scharfen Randes kommen.
• Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Filterträger gut festgezogen ist,
bevor Sie mit der Kaffeezubereitung beginnen und stellen
Sie den Wahl Schalter auf «0» zurück, bevor Sie den
Filterträger entnehmen.
• Stellen Sie Ihr Gerät immer auf einer stabil, ebenen und
hitzebeständige Oberfläche ab.
• Halten Sie sich an die Entkalkungshinweise in der
Bedienungsanleitung.

für die gefahrlose Benutzung des Gerätes analysiert. Dabei
wird von einem Gebrauch ausgegangen,mit dem
vernünftigerweise gerechnet werden kann.

EMERGENCY
Remove plug from mains supply immediately
• Please read these instructions carefully before first using
your espresso machine.
• Incorrect use of the appliance will release KRUPS from
any responsibility.
• Do not leave the appliance in the reach of unsupervised
children - young children and severely disabled
persons must only use the appliance under the
supervision of a responsible adult.
• Check that your appliance's power supply voltage
corresponds to the electrical installation.
• Only connect the appliance to an earthed electrical
socket. Any error in connection cancels the warranty.
• This product has been designed for domestic use only
- Any commercial use, inappropriate use or failure to
comply with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts
no responsibility and the guarantee will not apply.
• Disconnect your appliance as soon as you stop using it
or when you clean it .
• Do not use your appliance if it does not operate correctly
or if it has been damaged (e.g. power supply cord,
plug). In this case, contact a KRUPS authorised service
centre (see list in the service handbook). You must never,
under any circumstances, open the appliance yourself
• Do not put the appliance, the power supply cord or
the plug in water or any other liquid.
• Do not let the power supply cord hang within reach
of children.
• Never put your espresso on a hot surface (e.g. electric
warming plate) or close to a flame .
• Do not allow your hands to come into contact with the
hot parts of the appliance (filter holder, steam nozzle).
• For personal safety, only use KRUPS accessories and
spare parts adapted to your appliance.
• Never remove the filter holder containing the coffee
grounds while water is being passed through, since the
appliance is under pressure at this time.
• Never use the appliance if the drip tray and the grid
are not in position.
• Never unplug the appliance by pulling on the cord and
never lay the cord across a sharp edge or the corner of
an item of furniture.
• The power supply cord must not be brought into contact
with or too close to the hot parts of the appliance, near
to a source of heat or a sharp edge.
• Check that the filter holder has firmly clicked into place
before starting the coffee and reset the selector to «0»
before releasing the filter holder.
• Always place your appliance on a stable, flat heat-
resistant work surface.
• Follow the instructions given for descaling.
• Wiring instructions for U.K. and Ireland only:
In the event of replacing a fuse in the plug supplied, a
13 amp fuse approved by ASTA to BS1362 must be used.
