Wheel Lugs

WARNING
Wheel lug nuts must be applied and
maintained at the proper torque levels to
prevent loose wheels, broken studs and
possible separation of the wheel(s) from
your trailer. The lug nuts on the wheels of
your Jayco trailer must be maintained
according to the torque values listed in the
OEM operator's manual. Over-torquing
and/or under-torquing wheels may result in
component failure.
After your first trip, check the wheel lugs
periodically for safety. Check the wheel lugs
after winter storage, before starting a trip or
following extensive braking. The proper
procedure and sequence for attaching the
wheels and torquing lug nuts is as follows.

indicated for your trailer's wheels in the
OEM's chart (reprinted in Sec. 10
Specifications & Glossary).

OUR
WARNING
Never load the RV in excess of the GVWR
or the GAWR for either axle. Overloading
your RV may result in adverse handling
characteristics and damage to the
chassis.
The actual weight of the RV, passengers, all
options, liquids, the hitch weight of your towed
vehicle and your personal cargo is important
for you to know so you do not exceed the
Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of the
RV. The volume of space available for storage
may exceed the amount of available cargo
capacity. Large storage compartments have
been designed to accommodate normal
camping items, such as lawn chairs, portable
grill, sporting goods (fishing poles, golf clubs),
which are bulky, but not necessarily heavy.
Your recreation vehicle's load capacity is
designated by weight, not by volume, so you
cannot necessarily use all available space
when loading the vehicle. Do not exceed your
GVWR and ensure you are loading the vehicle
as evenly as you can for the best possible
