Checking clutch lever
play
Pull clutch lever until resis-
tance is felt.
Measure clutch lever play A.
Clutch lever play
0.04...0.08 in (1...2 mm)
If clutch lever play is outside
tolerance:
Adjusting clutch (

Push back bellows 1.
Loosen lock nut 2.
Adjust clutch lever play to
setpoint setting with adjust-
ing screw 3.
Turn clockwise: clearance
is increased.
Turn counterclockwise:
clearance is reduced.

Tires

Checking tire tread
depth
The handling of your
motorcycle can already
change for the worse before
the legally prescribed mini-
mum tread depth is reached.
Have tires replaced even be-
fore the minimum tread depth
is reached.
Make sure ground is level
and firm and park the mo-
torcycle.
Measure tire tread depth
in main tread grooves with
wear indicating marks.
Tires have wear indica-
tors integrated into the
main tread grooves. If the tire
tread has worn down to the
level of the marks, the tire is
completely worn. The loca-
tions of the marks are indi-
