Battery
This machine is equipped with a sealed-type
battery. Therefore it is not necessary to check
t h e e l e c t r o l y t e o r a d d d i s t i l l e d w a t e r i n t h e b a t -
tery. If the battery seems to have discharged,
c o n s u l t a AT V d e a l e r.
Do not try to remove the sealing caps of the
battery c e l l s . You may damage the battery.
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Failure to handle batteries or battery
electrolyte carefully.
W H AT CAN HAPPEN
You could be poisoned. You could be
severely burned by the sulfuric acid in
battery electrolyte. Batteries produce
explosive gases.
H O W TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Avoid contact with skin, eyes or c l o t h -
i n g . Always shield eyes when working
near batteries. Keep out of reach of chil-
dren.
Antidote:
EXTERNAL: Flush with water.
INTERNAL: Drink large quantities of wa-
ter or milk. Follow with milk of magne-
sia, beaten egg or vegetable oil. Get
prompt medical attention.
EYES: Flush with water for 15 minutes
and get prompt medical attention. Keep
batteries away from sparks, flames, cig-
a re t t e s o r other sourc e s o f i g n i t i o n . Ve n -
tilate when charging or using in a closed
space.
