Charging the high-voltage battery (plug-in hybrid vehicles)

Indicator lamp on the vehicle socket
When the indicator lamp on the vehicle
socket lights up, this means the following:
Indicator
lamp
Flashes The connection between
slowly in the vehicle and the current
orange source is being established
before charging begins.
Flashes The high-voltage battery is
slowly in being charged.
green
Flashes rap- A malfunction has occurred
idly in red while charging.
Lights up A charging break for the
orange high-voltage battery is tak-
ing place.
Lights up The high-voltage battery is
green fully charged.
If the indicator lamp is off, lock or unlock
i
the vehicle with the SmartKey. The indica-
tor lamp will then display the current status
of the charging process.
You can view the condition of charge of
i
the high-voltage battery in the multifunc-
tion display. Information on this can be
found under "PLUG-IN HYBRID operation"
(see Digital Operator's Manual).
