"Mode On," and the transmission will be in an "economy
mode." In the "economy mode," the transmission shifts soon-
er allowing for smoother shifts and improved fuel
economy.

is not necessary to select the right moment to upshift or
downshift during the changing road and traffic conditions.
The transmission does it for you. However, knowledge of the
gear ranges and when to select them will make vehicle con-
trol and your job even easier.
(R) (Reverse) The vehicle must be completely stopped
before shifting from Forward to Reverse or from Reverse to
Forward. The Select indicator will display R and the Monitor
will display R when Reverse is attained.
