Operating the PDT 3400
Powering the PDT 3400 On/Off
Power the PDT 3400 on by:
• installing a charged battery
• pressing the PWR key momentarily.
To suspend the PDT 3400's operation, press the PWR key.
Adjusting the Display
To adjust the display contrast:
• Press FUNC then X (dark) to increase contrast
• Press FUNC then Y (light) to decrease contrast.
Turning Backlight On/Off
To turn the backlight on or off, press FUNC then W (LAMP).
Changing Beeper Volume
The beeper volume can be set to three values: off, low, and high. To
change the beeper volume:
• Press FUNC then U (VOL -) to decrease volume
• Press FUNC then V (VOL +) to increase volume.
Note: FUNC, CTRL, and SHFT are "sticky" keys, e.g., the
first keystroke is remembered until you press the second
key.
