9.12 Measuring the ionization current

Switch off the heating system using the main switch.
Disconnect the plug and socket connection of the moni-
toring cable and connect the measuring device in series
(fig. 39). Select the µA direct current range on the
measuring device. The measuring device must have
a resolution of at least 1 µA.
Switch on the heating system using the main switch.
Press the "Chimney Sweep"
approx. two seconds), until the display shows the
decimal point.

Set the boiler to partial load "L30" by pressing the

Measure the ionization current. When the boiler is in
partial load mode the ionization current must be > 5 µA
DC.
Enter the value measured in the start-up report.
Repeatedly press the "Service"
temperature indication is displayed.
Press the "Chimney Sweep"
measurement procedure.
Switch off the heating system using the main switch.
Remove the measuring device and restore the plug and
socket connection.
Switch on the heating system again using the main
switch.
