If you experience a problem with this unit, check the chart below before calling for service.
PROBLEM

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Battery weak or dead.
HOLD switch is set to Hold.

Recharge the built-in battery

Power the unit using the supplied
AC adapter or see page 39 for

Check that the h eadphone plug is
properly inserted.
Check that the volume level is not
at its lowest setting.
Use the
MusicMatch to enco de the files into
MP3 or WMA formats and then
save them to the playlist.
