should be washed at least every 30

To
remove
the
grille:
Grilies & cabinet
1. Removethe air filter.
Wipe front grille with a clean cloth
lightly dampened with mild liquid
dishwashing detergent.Washcabinet
with mild soap or detergentand
lukewarmwater.

To remove the filter, open the
grille door, grasp the tab on the
filter and pull to the right.
l'acuum the filter on the dusty
side to remove light dust. Wash
the filter, cleaner side up, under
gently flowing water to wash out
accumulated dust and lint. If the

These coils on the weather side
of the unit should be checked
periodically and cleaned if clogged
with dirt or soot tim the atmosphere.
If extremely soiled, they may need
to be steam cleaned, a service
availablethrough your GE service
outlet.

water. Let the filter dry thoroughly
before replacing it.
When replacing the fiIter9be sure
the word FRONT is facing you as
you slide the filter back into place
and close the grille door.

3. Press the side of the cabinet
firmly and, at the same time, pull
the corner of the grille forward to
unhook it from clips at bottom.
4. Slide the grille upward to free
the two tabs at the top of the grille
from slots in the top of the cabinet.
To
replace thegrille, hook
top
of grille onto top of cabinet, push
bottom of grille in until it snaps
into place, and replace the screw
removed in Step 2 above.
