1.3.6 Parental Lock
This menu is designed for user to replace the old password with a new one.

1.4 Software Upgrade
Software upgrade can be undertaken only with a USB device connected, as the software has to
be downloaded from the USB device.
Open this menu that is consisted of 3 submenus:
• Download from USB
• Download Channel Data
• Upload Channel Data
1.4.1 Download from USB
This operation is performed to upgrade the software of the receiver.
Procedures of software upgrade:
a) Connect the USB device that has stored the upgrade software to the receiver, then enter
the Software Upgrade window which suggests that user should download software
from the USB device;
b) Press OK button to open the upgrade folder on the USB device, then select the right file
for upgrade with OK button to confirm.
c) Open and run the upgrade file. The system will proceed to Read Data and Data Check Sum
before updating Flash memory.
d) Once the Flash is updated, the process of software upgrade is completed. At the moment
the receiver standbys automatically and the system restores the default settings.
e) Press STANDBY button to switch on the receiver.
f) Open the Main Menu, and perform the operation of restoring Factory Default settings.
g) Refer to Fast Installation operation, update Area setup and start searching channels
of the new area.
h) Upgrade process is completed, and the receiver will work in new condition.
1.4.2 Download Channel Data
This operation requires a USB device that already contains some channel data,
and means to upgrade the receiver by updating the relevant channel data from USB.
1.4.3 Upload Channel Data
This operation is contrary to step 1.4.2, which means to transfer the relevant data
from the receiver to the USB for the purpose of upgrading other receivers.
1.5 factory Default
Select this item, restore the factory default settings after entering the password as required.
Note:
When the receiver is used for the first time or has just been upgraded, the step must
be conducted. The default password is "0000"
1.6 Version
Open this menu to check the relevant information about the receiver, such as H/W (hardware)
version, S/W (software) version, Model No. etc.
