Your hood has a nameplate on which is stamped the model number and serial number. To
locate nameplate, extend hood as far as it will open and look to left of filter.
Model and serial numbers are also on the Purchase Record Card which came with your hood.
Before sending in this card, please record the numbers in the space below, or get them from
nameplate described above, and record here.
Model Number

Please reference both these numbers in any future correspondence or product service calls
concerning your hood.

Whenyou get your new hood. . .
~ Haveit installed by a qualified installer using installation instructions provided.
This assuresadequate grounding.
~ Have the installer show you the location of the range circuit breaker or fuse,
and mark it for easy reference. Your range hood is connected to this circuit.
~ Do take the time to read our suggestionsfor best use.

Due to the hood fan drawing power,special caution is neededto avoid spreading
of possible flame from the cooking surface of your range.
Never leave surface units unattended at high heat settings. Boilover causes
smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite and spread if ventilating hood
is used. Use surface unit heat settings recommended by manufacturer and
adequate-size utensils.
When flaming foods under the hood, turn the fan off. The fan, if operating, may
spread the flame.
Never use your cooking appliance for warming or heating the room.
Keep hood and grease filters clean according to instructions to maintain good
venting and to avoid grease fires.
DO NOT USE WATER ON GREASEFIRES. NEVERPICK UP A FLAMING PAN.
Smother flaming pan on surface unit by covering pan completely with well fit-
ting lid, cookie sheet or flat tray.
Flaming greaseoutside pan can be extinguished by baking soda or, if available,
a multi-purpose dry chemical or foam type extinguisher.
