Focusing methods

Using the AF assist light

The auto focus functions more accurately in dark places
when using the AF assist light.
In Shooting mode, press [MENU].

Changing the focus area

A clear and vivid picture can be taken if the focus area
is changed in relative position to the subject.
In Shooting mode, press [MENU].

The focus is set appropriately for the

set correctly in the display.

Shows the areas that the focus is

correctly set in the display.

When the sound effect is heard at the
Self-Portrait
time of self-shot, you can check the
AF
position of the subject's face.
• The selectable option may differ by the shooting
mode.
• When the AF/MF switch of lens is set to MF,
the AF area can not be changed by using the
shooting menu.
• When the Multi AF function is selected, AF area
appears in green as long as the subject is in
focus.
• The function can be set directly by pressing [Fn]
in the shooting mode.
