Parallel Interface Connection

Plug one end of the printer cable (not
included) into the parallel interface connec-
tion on the rear side of the printer.
• Use a parallel printer cable that
complies with the IEEE1284
standards.
• The printer will work best if it is
installed near the computer. The
cable should be shielded and
not be longer than 3 meters (10
feet).

Close the clips on both sides to fix the con-
nector in place.
Plug the other end of the printer cable into
the computer's parallel interface connec-
tor.

Serial Interface Connection

Plug one end of the printer cable (not
included) into the serial interface connec-
tion on the rear side of the printer.

Securely tighten the screws on both sides
of the connector.
Plug the other end of the printer cable into
the computer's serial interface connection.

Network Interface Connection

Plug the network cable (not included) into the
network interface connection on the right side
of the printer.
An Ethernet interface cable (straight
cable) is required to connect the
printer in network environment.
