1
PROBLEM
POSSIBLE CAUSE
SOLUTION
Excessive current draw
trips circuit breaker or
motor reset switch
Compressor stalls
Low voltagehotor overload
Drive belt too tight
Restricted air passages
Low voltage to motor
Check that power supply is adequate and that compressor is on a
dedicated circuit. If using extension cord,
try
using without.
Readjust belt tension.
Inspect and replace transfer
tubes
or check valve, as required.
Fumish adequate power.
~
Bad check valve
Seized pump
Replace the check valve.
Contact authorized service center.
Low discharge pressure

Air leaks
lighten or replace leaking fittings or connections. Do not
overtighten.

Pulley out of alignment
Reduce to proper level. Use non-detergent oil.
Relocate compressor to an area with cool, dry, well circulated air,
at least 12 in. from nearest wall.

Improper belt tension
Readjust.
Pulley wobbles
Replace the pulley and check for
a
damaged crankshaft or
flywheel.
Too

oil.
Compressor too cold
Move compressor to a warmer location.
This is normal
If
pressure drops too low, adjust regulator while accessory is beinc
used.
Compressor not large enough
Check air requirement of accessory. If it is higher than CFM and
pressure supplied
by
compressor,
you
need a larger
compressor.
Most accessories are rated at 25% of actual CFM while running
continuously.
