228 UNDERSTANDING THE FEATURES OF YOUR VEHICLE
To turn the FCW system back ON, press the forward
collision button again to turn the system ON (led turns
off).
Changing the FCW status to "Off" prevents the system
from warning you of a possible collision with the vehicle
in front of you.
Changing the Active Braking status to "Off" prevents the
system from providing limited autonomous braking, or
additional brake support if the driver is not braking
adequately in the event of a potential frontal collision.
NOTE: The FCW system state is kept in memory from
one key cycle to the next. If the system is turned OFF, it
will remain off when the vehicle is restarted.

Changing FCW And Active Braking Status

To Change The FCW Sensitivity And Active Braking
Settings With Uconnect® 8.4/8.4A System Screen —
If Equipped
Follow these steps to set the FCW Sensitivity and Active
Braking:
1. Touch the "Controls" soft-key located on the bottom of
the Uconnect® display.
2. Touch the "Settings" soft-key.
3. Touch the "Safety & Driving Assistance" soft-key.
4. Touch the "FWD Collision Warning", Far or Near
soft-key for your desired preference.
5. Touch the "Active Braking" On or Off soft-key.
NOTE: A check mark will appear in the selection box to
indicate the setting.
