The Blue Max ® AC-DC series of stainless steel electrodes is characterized by their distinctive blue coating and spray
type metal transfer. These electrodes can be lightly dragged, if desired, on the surface of the base metal with no fear
of freezing to the weld. The 3/16" diameter size is generally limited to flat and horizontal welding.

Polarity Description
DC+ Blue Max ® Jungo 4500 is a stainless steel stick electrode designed for welding
fully austenitic, 20% Cr, 25% Ni, 5% Mo stainless steels, such as AISI 904L.
Blue Max ® Jungo 4500 has excellent weldability, bead appearance, easy slag
removal combined with excellent corrosion resistance.
DC± Blue Max ® Nyloid 2 is a nickel-based stick electrode designed for welding low
AC temperature steels. The deposition rate is very high—150% recovery. Especially
developed for welding 9% nickel stainless steels.
DC+ Blue Max ® NiCro 60/20 is designed for joining nickel-based alloys, such as Alloy
625, for applications with both high and low temperatures. Provides improved
corrosion resistance. All-position welding, except vertical down.
Blue Max NiCro 70/15Mn is a nickel-based stick electrode for welding nickel-base
DC+ ®
alloys, such as Alloy 600. Because of its composition, NiCro 70/15Mn is very
suitable for welding dissimilar metals that require postweld heat treatment.
DC+ Blue Max ® NiCro 70/19 is designed for joining nickel-based alloys, such as Alloys
600 and 601, and dissimilar metals that require postweld heat treatment. Provides
high resistance against oxidation with excellent impact toughness at low temperatures.
All-position welding, except vertical down.
DC+ A versatile, all-purpose electrode for repairing and reclaiming gray cast iron. It
AC is recommended for repairing heavy sections and phosphorous bearing castings.
Welds made with this electrode are strong and ductile. Mulit-pass welds are
typically machinable. Operational characteristics are excellent.
DC+ Description: A high nickel electrode specifically recommended for applications where
AC machinability is important. Even single pass welds are machinable. It is recommended
for surfacing applications and repairing small casting defects when the deposit will
require machining.
DC+ A low cost steel electrode for repairing cast iron. It is recommended for repairing pits
AC and small cracks in castings. The deposits are not machinable but may be finished by
grinding.
DC+ An extruded electrode for both metallic arc and carbon arc welding aluminum plate.
The dense high strength welds can be polished leaving practically no discoloration.
The molton flux retards oxidation and dissolves excess aluminum oxide to produce
high quality deposits.
