NOTE: To stop your Scooter, if it is equipped with a handbrake lever, release the throttle, then gently
squeeze the handbrake lever.
8. To move in reverse, use your thumb to gently push the left throttle lever to disengage your Victory XL-8’s
brakes and move rearward.
NOTE: Your Scooter’s reverse speed is 40% slower than the speed you set with the speed adjustment dial
and the 4 MPH - 8 MPH switch.
GETTING OFF OF YOUR VICTORY XL-8
1. Bring your Victory XL-8 to a complete stop.
2. Make certain that the key is turned counterclockwise to power down your Scooter.
3. Push down on the seat lock lever and rotate the seat until you are facing toward the side of your Victory XL-
8.
4. Make certain that the seat is locked securely in position.
5. Carefully get out of the seat and stand at the side of your Victory XL-8.
6. You may, if you wish, leave the seat facing to the side to facilitate boarding your Victory XL-8 the next time you
are going to operate it.
AUTO SHUTOFF FEATURE
Your Victory XL-8 is equipped with an energy saving auto shutoff feature designed to preserve your Scooter’s
battery life. If you mistakenly leave the key in your Victory XL-8 but do not use the Scooter for approximately 20
minutes, the Scooter automatically shuts down.
If your Victory XL-8 auto shutoff feature takes effect, perform the following steps to resume normal operation.
1. Turn the key counterclockwise to power down your Scooter.
2. Turn the key clockwise to power up your Scooter.
