the compass or ranging reticle.
HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES
To change the battery, use a coin to remove the battery compartment cover by turning it counter-clockwise,
until the "unlocked" icon and white dot on the cover line up with the dot on the binocular. Set the cover aside
and remove the battery. Note the "+" and "-" polarity markings on the battery. Be sure to insert the new battery
correctly, in the same direction as shown on the sticker inside the battery compartment, with the "+" (positive)
terminal going in first so it is at the bottom of the compartment, and the "-" negative end facing the battery
cover. Replace the battery cover with the "unlocked" icon and two dots lined up again, then turn it (with fingers
or a coin) until the "locked" icon lines up with the dot on the binocular. The battery should be taken out if the
binoculars will not be used for a long time. Batteries left in the binocular for prolonged periods of time without
being used may leak and cause damage to the binocular. After replacing the battery, be sure to follow the
calibration procedure for the digital compass.
