COMPRESSION PRESSURE MEASUREMENT/

ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION

5.Measure:
Compression pressure

If it exceeds the maximum pressure allowed
→ Inspect the cylinder head, valve surfaces
and piston crown for carbon deposits.
If it is below the minimum pressure → Squirt
a few drops of oil into the affected cylinder
and measure again.
Follow the table below.

Measurement steps:
G
Crank the engine with the throttle wide-open
until the reading on the compression gauge
stabilizes.
WARNING
Before cranking the engine, ground all
spark plug leads to prevent sparking.

ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION
1.Stand the motorcycle on a level surface.
NOTE:
Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand.
2.Start the engine, warm it up for several min-
utes, and then turn it off.
