TIP
Use a socket "4" that matches the diameter of
the wheel bearing outer race.
b. Install the collar.
c. Install the new wheel bearing (left side).
TIP
Place a suitable washer "1" between the
socket "2" and the bearing so that both the
inner race "3" and outer race "4" are pressed at
the same time, and then press the bearing until
the inner race makes contact with the collar
"5".

ADJUSTING THE REAR WHEEL STATIC
BALANCE
TIP
• After replacing the tire, wheel or both, the
rear wheel static balance should be adjusted.
• Adjust the rear wheel static balance with the
brake disc and rear wheel pulley installed.
1. Adjust:
• Rear wheel static balance
Refer to "ADJUSTING THE FRONT
WHEEL STATIC BALANCE" on page 4-
23.

INSTALLING THE REAR WHEEL (DISC)

1. Install:
• Rear brake disc
Rear brake disc bolt
30Nm (3.0 m·kgf, 22 ft·lbf)
LOCTITE®
ECA59C1401
Replace the brake disc bolts with new
ones.
TIP
Tighten the brake disc bolts in stages and in a
crisscross pattern.
2. Check:
• Rear brake disc
Refer to "CHECKING THE REAR BRAKE
DISC" on page 4-58.
3. Lubricate:
• Oil seal lips
Recommended lubricant
Lithium-soap-based grease
4. Install:
• Dust cover
• Collars
• Rear wheel sensor housing
• Rear brake caliper bracket
• Rear wheel
• Adjusting blocks
• Rear wheel axle
• Washer
• Wheel axle nut
TIP
• Do not install the brake caliper and brake
lock caliper.
• Fit the brake torque stop pin "a" on the
swingarm into the slot "b" on the rear brake
caliper bracket.
