ALARM SETUP

The described below let you determine functions such as
display and mode when an alarm is activated.
1. Click the ALARM SETUP display in the WJ-HD500
SETUP MENU window.
The ALARM SETUP window as shown in the figure will
appear on the display screen.
2. Select an item or item parameter in the window.
3. To return to the previous WJ-HD500 SETUP MENU
menu, click the HD500 SETUP MENU display.
Or to open the further divided setup window, click one
of the display in the underneath of the window.
Alarm Setup
1. Select the duration by clicking the pulldown list.
The item lets you select the duration the Disk Recorder
retains the alarm mode before resetting automatically.
OFF: Disables auto reset.
1-30(SEC): Selects an alarm duration between 1 sec-
ond and 30 seconds.
40(SEC): Selects an alarm duration for 40 seconds.
50(SEC): Selects an alarm duration for 50 seconds.
1(MIN): Selects an alarm duration for 1 minutes.
2(MIN): Selects an alarm duration for 2 minutes.
3(MIN): Selects an alarm duration for 3 minutes.
4(MIN): Selects an alarm duration for 4 minutes.
5(MIN): Selects an alarm duration for 5 minutes.
2. If the 1-30(SEC) is selected for the parameter, select a
value by pressing the keyboard.
The factory default setting is OFF.
3. Select the alarm output duration by clicking the pull-
down list.

The item lets you select the output duration of the alarm
signal from the ALARM port on the rear of the Disk
Recorder.
OFF: Disables alarm output, regardless of an incoming
alarm.
1-30(SEC), 40(SEC), 50(SEC), 1(MIN) –5(MIN): Selects
an alarm output between 1 second and 5 minutes.
EXT: Alarm output continues until the ALARM RESET
button is pressed or the external alarm recover sig-
nal is received from the ALARM port on the rear of
the Disk Recorder.
4. If the 1-30(SEC) is selected for the parameter, select a
value by pressing the keyboard.
The factory default setting is 2 SEC.
5. Select the ringing duration by clicking the pulldown list.
The item lets you select the ringing duration of the built-
in alarm buzzer in the Disk Recorder when an alarm is
activated.
OFF: Disables alarm buzzer, regardless of an incoming
alarm.
1-30(SEC), 40(SEC), 50(SEC), 1(MIN) –5(MIN): Selects
an alarm duration between 1 second and 5 minutes.
EXT: Alarm buzzer continues to beep until the ALARM
RESET button is pressed or the external alarm
recover signal is received from the ALARM port.
6. If the 1-30(SEC) is selected for the parameter, select a
value by pressing the keyboard.
The factory default setting is 2 SEC.
7. Select either ON or OFF to enable or disable the video
loss alarm function by clicking the button.
The item lets you enable or disable the video loss alarm
function when the Disk Recorder detects the interrup-
tion of the video signal.
ON:
Enables the video loss function.
OFF: Disables the video loss function.
The factory default setting is ON.
8. Select either ON or OFF to enable or disable the motion
detector function by clicking the button.
The function is available when the Motion Detector
Board (Optional) is installed.
The item lets you enable or disable the motion detector
function when the Disk Recorder detects a motion on
the video image.
ON: Enables the motion detector function.
OFF: Disables the motion detector function.
