CARRYING A PASSENGER

Before you invite someone to be a passen-
ger on your motorcycle, you need to be thor-
oughly familiar with motorcycle operation.
Adjust
tire
pressures
according to the Tire Pressure and Loading
section and the Suspension section of this
manual.
The passenger should always hold onto
your waist or hips, or seat strap. Ask your
passenger not to make any sudden move-
ments. When you lean going around a cor-
ner, the passenger should lean with you.
The passenger should always keep his or
her feet on the footrests, even when you are
stopped at a light.
To help prevent burn injuries, warn your pas-
senger not to contact the muffler when
mounting or dismounting your motorcycle.

WARNING
The seat tail cover can be hot enough to
burn you and your passenger. The hot
muffler is under the seat tail cover.
The passenger should hold onto your
waist or hips, or seat strap. Do not hold
seat tail cover.
