You have to manually set the maximum aperture and focal length settings for the
lens using Non-CPU Lens Data. Also, only Aperture-priority and Manual exposure
mode are allowed.

Setting the Metering Method

Just to the right of the viewfinder rotate the Metering
õ
Method switch (around the AE-L/AF-L button) so that the
white line is pointing to the icon position for the metering
method you desire (top setting is center-weight, middle is
matrix, bottom is spot).
