AC box assembly mechanism

Before you begin:
v Read "Installation guidelines" on page 77.
v Read the safety notices at "Safety notices (multilingual translations)" on page
v Read "Handling static-sensitive devices" on page 218.
Complete the following steps to remove the ac box assembly mechanism:

1. Turn off the server (see "Turning off the server" on page 9), and disconnect all
power cords and external cables.
2. Open the top cover (see "Opening the cover" on page 84).
3. Remove fans 1 and 2 (see "Replacing fan 1 or 2" on page 107).
4. Remove the top cover assembly (see "Top cover assembly" on page 148).
5. Remove the memory-board assembly (see "Memory-board assembly" on page
127 for details).
6. Remove the shipping thumbscrews from the right side of the server, and lift the
retention bracket from the server.
7. Remove the processor-board assembly (see "Processor-board assembly" on
page 129 for details).
8. Remove the PCI-X board assembly (see "PCI-X board assembly" on page
133).
9. Remove the two screws 1 that secure the ac box assembly mechanism to
the chassis.
