Open the battery compartment and remove
the battery.

Route the battery wires through the cutout
at the lower end of the new left hand guard

and lit the guard onto the camera.

Secure the guard with the fasteners using
tool IICR1I008 (Figure 5·29).

Replace the center retainer and latch using
the shorter PhiUips--head screw.
