d. Connect the battery to a battery charger.
e. Set the battery charger rate at 1/10 the battery
capacity and charge the battery for 10 hours.

Charging rate:

0.7 AH × 10 hours

Battery capacity:

12 V, 7 AH
f. Turn the battery charger off, then disconnect it
from the battery.
g. Check the specific gravity of each cell with a
hydrometer. If the hydrometer readings are below
the specification charging is necessary.

Specific gravity:

1.280 at 20 ˚C (68 ˚F)
h. Install the filler caps, and throughly wipe off the
fluid around the filler caps. Wipe off the battery
completely before installation.
2. Installation
a. The breather hose should be connected and
routed properly.
WARNING
When inspecting the battery, be sure the breather
hose is routed correctly. If the battery breather
hose touches the frame in such a way as to cause
battery electrolyte or gas to exit onto the frame,
structural and cosmetic damage to the machine
can occur.
b. Make sure that the main switch is turned off, and
install the battery in the battery box.
c. Connect the positive lead first, and then connect
the negative lead.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the battery leads are connected
properly. Reversing leads can seriously damage
the electrical system.

f. Mettre le chargeur hors tension et déconnecter la
batterie.
g. Mesurer la densité de chaque cellule à l'aide
d'un densimètre. Si la mesure est inférieur à la
valeur spécifiée, une charge supplémentaire est
nécessaire.
Densité:
1,280 à 20 ˚C (68 ˚F)
h. Remonter les bouchons puis bien essuyer le
liquide autour de ces bouchons. Bien essuyer la
batterie avant de la remonter.
2. Montage
a. La durit de mise à l'air doit être branchée et posé
correctement.
AVERTISSEMENT
Lors du contrôle de la batterie, s'assurer que la
durit de mise à l'air est installé correctement. Si
elle touche le cadre ou sort de manière telle que
l'électrolyte de la batterie s'écoule sur le cadre, la
machine risque d'être endommagée.
b. S'assurer que le contactest coupé puis poser la
batterie dans sa boîte.
c. Brancher d'abord le câble positif puis brancher
le câble négatif.
ATTENTION:
S'assurer que les câbles sont correctement
branchés. Une inversion de ces câbles peut
sérieusement endommager le système électrique.
