1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Suunto S6 Wristop Computer is a reliable high precision electronic instrument that is

intended for recreational use.

NOTE: You should not use Suunto S6 to obtain measurements that require

professional or industrial precision or to obtain measurements when skydiving,

hang gliding, paragliding, gyrocopter riding or flying small aircraft.

After purchasing this instrument, make sure the package contains the following

items:

Suunto S6

•

Datasnake interface cable

•

CD containing the Suunto Ski Manager software

Should any of these be missing from the package, contact the resale agent who sold

you the package.

Only perform the procedures described in this manual. Never attempt to disassemble

or service your Suunto S6. Protect your Suunto S6 from shocks, extreme heat and

prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. If not in use, your Suunto S6 should be stored

in a clean, dry environment at room temperature.

Suunto S6 can be wiped clean with a lightly moistened (warm water) cloth. If there

are stubborn stains or marks, you can apply mild soap to the area. Do not expose

Suunto S6 to strong chemicals such as gasoline, cleaning solvents, acetone, and

alcohol, insect repellents, adhesives and paint, as they will damage the unit's seals,
